Mosaic Mimic Panel

Tiled mosaic mimics offer them most flexible, reliable and economical approach to process visualisation. This is evident with mosaic mimcs being hugely popular with both planners and control room operators alike.

A key benefit of the SubKlew SM24 mosaic mimic system is the ease of future modification. Devices may be added or removed to the demands of the user, with the mosaic always maintaining a high quality appearance which shows no visible history of modification.

Extensive modification can be completed at site by our support personnel within just a few hours. This allows the client to confidently schedule upgrades around their operation, with little or no impact to the process in hand, a prerequisite in mission critical environments.

This facility alone often makes mosaic mimics the only viable, cost effective solution capable of ensuring both current customer requirements and future aspirations are satisfied.

TEW maintains an active programme of product development and our commitment ensures clients current and future needs are fulfilled. This investment has recently seen the mosaic range extended to include a totally new 40mm system.

Uniquely, TEW is also able to offer dynamic image processing solutions alongside mosaic mimics. Rather than competing technologies, these different display media can offer the client complimentary features whilst extracting maximum value from the available budget.

M - Net Systems

The M-Net Mimic driver provides serial communication using an Industrial standard protocol that allows SCADA, DCS and PLC systems to directly interface with the mimc system. In addition, M-Net also provides a modular network solution for the interconnection of mimic mounted control and display devices. Typical applications comprise:

Within the mimic :

LEDs are connected to M-NET LED driver nodes using standard cable sets. Focus instrument titles or simple instruments are plugged into the appropriate M-NET instrument modules.

When a large number of instrument nodes are installed, these nodes each connect via a standard cable set to an intelligent Router, which provides power and network connections.

Mimic communicating with PLC, DCS or computer

Whenever possible, the Modbus RTU protocol is used as a standard. When this is not possible generally a programmable "gateway" is used, e.g. DH+, Profibus, etc. Often the programmer can address the mimic as if it were native I/O blocks.

For applications where mimic panel receives its input from plant level sensors around a site with distributed I/O modules strategically, located to reduce site cabling.

Gateway

The mimic is linked via a gateway to a host system. Most PLCs DCS and computer systems can interfaced to M-Net. Supported protocols include Allen Bradley DH and DH+, Siemens L2, Profibus and Modbus for which a direct connection is possible without the need for a gateway.

Intelligent router

Provides power and network data to node and can impart standard and application specific functionality to the system.

M-Net LED Drive node

For connection up to 64 LEDs via standard cable sets. Each node includes 8 input channels, input is 1 is lamp test and it is possible to connect other pushbuttons and switches to the remaining 7 input channels.

M-Net Instrument node

Each input module will accept any of the Focus instrument tiles to be interfaced directly to M-Net. The range of Focus instrument tiles includes LED bargraphs and 4 digit DPMs in a range of tile sizes.

M-Net simple instrument nodes

Each node drives 4 moving coil meters or low cost instruments.
